Baby Photos

I have been meaning to post these pictures for a while now. We went and got professional photos when Wes was 5 1/2 weeks old. I really like the way they turned out.

Happy Birthday to Me

Bret had to work a long day, and I didn't want to sit home alone on my birthday. So I decided to head down to Salt Lake and hang out with my mother, who had the holiday off.
We went to lunch at Sweet Tomatoes, and it was so delicious. Then we went shopping.
My brother, sister, and niece joined us for some delicious pie.
When I got home Bret had decorated for my birthday.
I love surprises!

Happy Valentine's Day

Wes sent these Valentine's out to some of his friends (with help from his mommy), and here is a digital version for everyone.

Wesley's Baby Blessing

Wesley was blessed on Sunday, February 7, 2009. His daddy gave the blessing. Punka, Grandpa Nixon, Uncle Mike, and Uncle Marshall stood in the circle.
We were able to bless him in the ward we just moved from. I was so worried Wesley would cry during it, but he was really good. It was such a beautiful day, and I love my precious baby.

Splish, Slash, Wes Loves Take'n a Bath

Bath time is turning into one of my favorite times. At first Wes was not a fan of the water and would cry the whole time. Then he started to tolerate, kind of enjoy it, and now he likes it.
He is so cute when he is all rapped up in his towels.
Wes discovered last week that he could splash the water. It was so funny because he was so serious and concentrated so hard on it. He would watch his arms and legs they raised up and slashed down. Wesley's favorite what to splash is to lift up his bum and fall back down.
Here is a little video. His pictures and videos are cute, but I am never able to capture how truly adorable he is in real life.

Let"s Play

Wes is in such a fun stage. He has discovered his hands and feet. He will stare at his fist and tries to decide if he wants to look at it or suck on it. He usually ends up putting his hand in his mouth and staring at his foot instead.
He also will do tummy time for a couple of minutes and doesn't scream like I am torturing him.
He has started to hold on to his toys.
Now that we live far away we had to think of something fun to do for my mom's birthday. So I made this cute hat and Wes made a cute face. Then we sent a picture of it to my mom via facebook and text. Wes was so funny in the hat. I couldn't tell if he liked wearing it just because it was fun for him or if he liked how happy it made his mom when he wore it.
He likes to grab and bat at the toys on his bouncer.
Wesley played basketball for the first time with his daddy.
Playing with his monkey and looking at the camera.
Relaxing with his father.
Oh, I love his face.
I can't believe how big he is getting, but he is so much fun. His phases are so fun, like when he went through a few days of laughing whenever we talked to him. I also love his little voice and the way he baby talks. He says,"Goo" so perfectly and makes me laugh all the time. I have the best job in the world.
