Pitter Patter

Last night Bret was able to feel the baby kick for the first time. It was so exciting. He said it was weird, but I could tell he liked it. It is kind of strange to feel a something moving inside of me, but it also makes me so happy to know that it's my cute little boy.

I first started feeling him move consistently on June 20. It felt like he was playing the piano on the bottom of my belly for the first little while, but now I am starting to feel larger movements. I find it difficult to focus when people are talking to me and I start feeling him move around. Sometimes it really tickles and part of me wants him to stop, but the other part of me loves it so much that I can't believe the one part of me would not want it to go on and on.

I am now starting to understand why women say they love being pregnant. At first I was surprised to find that I did not enjoy being pregnant. I had always thought that I would be a cute happy pregnant lady....reality turned out to be different. I have always been happy to be going to have a baby, and it has always known it is worth it. But for the first trimester I was sure I had the never ending flu, and for the first part of the second trimester I was pretty sure I was just getting fat. Now that I can feel him it seems so much more real. I am really enjoying being pregnant.

An Investment in My Feet

My cute sandals and high heeled shoes have not been agreeing with my feet an legs lately. So I decided to look into getting some more sensible shoes. I was happy that I hit a buy one get one 1/2 price sale, but it was still a bit of money. They're worth it though...cute, comfortable, and I notice I don't walk as funny in them as my uncomfortable shoes.

Here is a rainbow that we saw on our way home.
There was a really light one over the bright one.

We're Having a Boy!

Here is our sweet baby! It was so fun to see him, and I just love him so much. He sure is a little wiggler. I never thought of ultrasounds as cute before, but my little guy is so adorable!
I added some labels to help show what the pictures are.
He has a little who-nose...baby l0u who.
I can't get over how adorable his little foot is!
Five fingers and five toes and healthy little baby!
I didn't label this one because he looks kind of like an alien in it.

Counting My Blessings - #30

I am so grateful for grapefruit. This is my first crazy pergancy craving, and I am shocked at the power of it. I feel like it is a drug, when I eat it I can't get enough.
Mmmmmmmm.....

WolfCreek Vacation

Bret and I went to the WorldMark condos at Wolf Creek with his side of the family the second week of June. It did not end up being the outside mountain vacation that we had planned. It ended up raining most of the time, but it was a relaxing break that I was really grateful for. It was nice that we didn't have to drive very far to get there, and it was low stress to get there and back. Plus it was really beautiful.
Here is a nice little hike we took one evening when there was a break in the continuous storms.
I found a picture of an alien, which seemed extra funny because I had watched part of a documentary about aliens and presidents on the history channel that morning.
These flowers remind me of my mom.
My husband is so cute. I love him so much!
We went to the children's museum in Ogden one day.
Marshall built this tall tower. It was pretty fun to watch it grow.
Our condo
I really enjoyed reading Pride and Prejudice out on the porch.

My Doctor of Pharmacy

Bret graduated from Pharmacy School yesterday! I am so proud of him. It has been such a long journey. When Bret and I first started dating Bret was just thinking about going, and now here we are. Bret has worked so hard, and it's so exciting he is done with school. I sometimes thought it would never come, but it did. Here he is before we went into Capitol Theater.
Notice his nice parallel parking job? A man of many talents.
This picture is blurry, but I love it because Bret is being hooded.
Bret and his brother.
Father and son, pharmacy men.
Bret's sister made this cake. She is amazing. She was detailed even done to using a green M&M because green is the pharmacy color.
We had a nice lunch afterwards at Bret's parents house.
A nice Rx tie Bret parents gave to him.
This is the fancy Nixon watch I got for Bret graduation present.

Graduation Dinner

Last Monday Bret and I went to a fancy dinner to celebrate the graduates in his class. It was fun to get dressed up and visit with his class mates.

We didn't take the camera into the dinner, but his nice friends said they would get us copies. So be watching for those pictures because they good.

Pillow Talk

This morning when we woke up Bret came up with the idea to name our children after "elements." I assumed he meant the ones on the periodic table, and I asked if we named our child gold if he would be malleable or if uranium would have an explosive personality.
Bret had actually meant elements like wind, fire, water, etc, but he quickly saw the name potential the periodic table holds.

So he grabbed one of his chemistry books off of the book shelf and opened to the periodic table. We realised that noble gases make awesome names: Argon, Krypton, Xenon, and Radon. Halogen's also hold much potential. Then we started looking at Lewis Structures, and I realized I don't remember how to do them anymore, but I really use to like doing them. I wish that they had puzzle books for Lewis Structures, kind of like Sudoku.

Daisy Suprise

Look what my cute husband bought me just because. Daisies are one of my favorites.
