Play Center

Wes really enjoys his new (well, new to us) play center. Hopefully this will be helpful while I am making dinner.

He also enjoys holding a toy shovel in his play center.

Baby's 1st Bees Game

While I was in SLC my sister got free tickets to the Bees game. Wesley got a messy face eating his prunes in the box. Oh, man that kid loves prunes. The Bee came over to visit our box. He had been in another box, but pointed Wesley, gave us thumbs up, and came on over.

After touching the Bee, Wes decided that he was very scary.Ky wasn't scared.

Wesley was tuckered out enough he actually fell asleep (he isn't one to sleep with lots going on). Notice Kylie pretending to sleep?

He woke up fresh and ready to watch the game.

Cute little eyes, and don't worry that's water in the cup.Back in the car Wes and Kylie are exhausted after a day of fun.

Cousin Kylie Comes to Visit

My Dad and Les came up to see inside my new house because the last time they visited they only saw the outside. They brought Kylie with, but they didn't take her home. Wesley enjoyed playing with Punka's goatee. Punka is a good sport.
After my Dad and Les left Ky enjoyed some nice peanuts in the back. (Like the nice big truck tire tracks in my yard?)
Then we went to check out the two houses being built on either side of me. Ky was a little worried that we shouldn't be there, but I assured her we were fine. She wiring for the light fixtures were in, but the fixtures weren't installed yet. Kylie was worried they were watching us. Otherwise she had fun exploring the new houses. We went on a walk around the neighborhood. Kylie wanted to play house so she was my 8 year old daughter, Maria.
The next morning we got up and got ready to go take Ky home. I did her hair and put a home made flower in it.
When we got to SLC we stopped at Costco to pickup a few things, and I saw the prettiest flowers. There were several different types of flowers that were different shades of antique white. I was so excited to buy them and take the to my Grandma Hood. She had fallen and hit her head, and we were going to visit her.
When we saw her she couldn't remember who we were for the first time, and I can't really describe what that feels like. I could tell Kylie had a hard time with it, and she handled it so well especially for only being 7. I just had to remind her that I was Jayne's daughter several times during our visit. She also kept forgetting we brought her the flowers and kept showing them how pretty they were. At least she liked them, and the purpose of getting them was for her to enjoy them. We went to occupational therapy with my grandma, and the kids were a big hit with the group. Ky and Wes really are just little rays of sunshine.
We really enjoyed visiting my grandmother. She is such a wonderful and loving person.

The next night my sister took Ky to visit my Grandma again, and she recognized her right away!

Do'n Stuff

My dashing little man playing on the floor after church. Pulling books of the shelf and "reading" the is how Wesley starts out the day.

Goofing off with Mom and Dad.
Can you believe how funny my handsome boy looks in the picture above?
It didn't take long for the novelty to wear off, and the head bands to come off.
Look at his hair. I was sure that it was going to fall out because that's been the pattern. He grows hair and then it recedes away, but it looks like he may keep it this time.

Bear Lake and Birthday

Thursday was my sister's birthday so I made her these bright colored cupcakes.
The drove up that evening after work to stay at my house because we were going camping at Bear Lake the next day. So she didn't get cake and ice cream until late on her b-day.
I made her take a picture of her eating it. What a good sport.
We stayed at the boy scout camp up at Bear Lake because my brother works there.
My little monkey in the tent.
Friday evening we got to play on the beach. Kylie loves this picture because she looks like a mermaid going to save a shipwrecked sailor.
Sandy toes.
Spider I randomly made.
I wanted a kissing picture into the sunset. Bret thought this was the cheesiest idea (which is probably true), and showed his feelings in this picture.
Luckily he is the best and took a cheesy picture for me anyway. Aren't husbands great!
After the beach we went and put warm clothes on.
Beautiful view from our tent.
We went to the boy scout campfire. We missed my brother's skit :(, but it was fun to see the campers.
Random fire across the lake. It was interesting to watch it grow, but I was very happy the next morning when I saw they had put it out. Way to be firefighters.
Wes shared a sleeping bag with my and took up more than half the sleeping bag. I still got some sleep, and we woke up feeling okay the next morning.
Wes playing in the tent. Notice the pack'n play we set up and didn't use.
Wes chilling with his uncle and drinking water.
Saturday morning we packed up and went to the beach to play in the water. My mom watched Wes on the beach while Bret and I went around the lake. I wish we would have had more time to play, but I had to get back to do a booth at the fair. On our way home we stopped and got shakes, burgers, and fries. It was a fun way to celebrate Pioneer Day.

Wow this was a long post, but hey it was my sister's birthday, pioneer day, and Wesley's first camping trip.
