Some more June

We checked They Might Be Giants' kids album Here Comes Science from the library.  The kids really go into it.  It lead to a love of science and then a love of space.  We found a video with this song on it and Wes quickly memorized it.  So fun.

After we went to Summerfest Wes displayed all their art projects in the garden.  Although it was mostly mild weather the paper held up for several weeks despite of the occasional storm.

We had a fun Father's Day with the best and most handsome father around.

I was started feeling nauseous in March.  Then my ribs started hurting worse and worse.  I ended up getting diagnosed with costochondritis.  It was awful.  The muscles around your ribs never stop working.  Breathing, swallowing, walking.  It all hurt.  So that on top of the nausea made things less fun for my kids.  One day I took them to the toy store so the kids could just play.

Chalk is fun.

Meeting Anna and Elsa at a party store grand opening was amazing.

The the bouncy after was fun, too.

My sister-in-law made this super cute outfit for Brynn.

We saw a swan sitting in a nest.  Our local zoo is small but fun.

First braids.  My little baldy is finally getting some hair.

The beginnings of our fairy garden.  I don't know if it will ever by fancy, but my kids love it.

Wes and Brynn got to meet Anna and Elsa.  It was amazing.

Fairy Picnic

I thought it would be fun to do a little fairy picnic for my little fairy obsessed children.  Bret had told the kids that fairies don't exist when they asked.  Wes was not satisfied with that answer and was quite vindicated when our next door neighbor told them they are in fact real.

The kids wanted to have the apple cut our as a fairy house. Then I used a cookie cutter for the sandwiches.  Carrots and cucumbers can be combine to make anything.

I gave them fairy wings from the dollar store.

Kids are so sweet and imaginative it's so simple to make a magical moment for them.
