And the year comes to an end

We had fun playing with new toys and hanging out at home the last few days of 2013.
My cute little shaving man.
Blocks are a big deal around here.

Bathroom breaks for mom = bad ideas coming into fruition for the kids.
(At least she put boots on?)

Such cute, cozy, and cuddly kids.

This is my only picture from New Year's Eve.  We are such party animals.  Bret and I even stayed up until midnight...I think.

Baby Abby's Pictures

Here are some photo's of my sister's sweet little Baby Abby.

I love the way Abby is looking at her mommy.

My kids wanted in on the action too.  They are crazy.

7 Year Anniversary

I've been married for 7 years already?  We'll I am still pretty happy about that decision.  Especially when I look at these cute kids!  They are playing train in the snow.

My mom took the kids so we could go on a day date so we could head home that evening because Bret was on-call the next morning.

Here's some pictures my mom got of the kids while they were there.
Brynn refusing to nap no matter how tired she is.  A disturbing trend indeed.
Wesley my little trying a computer game.

Brynn was a bid fan of her "glasses."

These kids are just too cute and funny.

Brynn loves Baby Abby.

Now back to my date.  Bret surprised me with a diamond ring.  We went to City Creek Mall for some shopping.  Then we found this yummy little Italian restaurant.  I ate the best pesto gnocchi.  It was SO good.  Then we wrapped it all up with some outdoor ice skating.  A wonderful date with my wonderful husband.

Christmas Morning

Wes woke up first.  Christmas is so exciting as a parent.

It was fun to open presents with the cousins.

After awhile I went in and woke Brynn up.  I went back and forth because she had been up during the night, but I couldn't let her miss it.
Ha ha her groggy face.
It didn't take long before she perked up.

Bret is so hard to shop for.  He doesn't want anything that can be junk for the house.  He really only wants electronics or expensive things he picks out himself.  He also doesn't want to much money spent on him.
I was excited when I found this transformers flash drive.  He seemed to like it.

On the other hand it's hard not to buy to much for the kids.  It is so fun to plan and shop.  (I totally started in July.)  Watching their excitement as they open the gifts is the best.

Brynn and Wes just started singing ABC's together while they opened presents.  It was so good it almost seem rehearsed.  They did spend the two hour drive to SLC singing together a couple days before (it completely melted my heart).  I wasn't able to capture that but here's what they did when I asked them to repeat it.
They are so cute it kills me.

Brynn had wanted a hippopotamus for Christmas because of the song.  I love hearing her two year-old voice sing that song.  Wes got the game Hungry Hungry Hippo, and that was luckily good enough for her.

"I'm Santa."

What a fun morning.
