Saturday was an amazingly beautiful morning and perfect for an Easter egg hunt.
There were tons of there and my kids needed a minute to warm up to the situation.
My mom took Brynn to the 0-2 section, and I took Wes to the 3-4 section. I had to encourge Wes to pick things up. Most kids in Wesley's section only got two or three things, but Brynn's age group and Kylie's age group (did I mention we met my sister and niece there?) had a lots of stuff. Wes was excited at first but soon realized Brynn and Ky had a bunch more. There were people in the baby area making sure the babies all got eggs and they gave some to Wes. Plus, my sweet niece was eager to share when she saw is basket.
My cute kids with their baskets.
Love his face looking at his treasures.
It is such a challenge to capture the moment because kids don't hold still, but that's what makes life fun.
Ky really is such a sweet kid.
I like pictures of my kids from behind. Weird? Maybe, but I love the story it tells.
Group photos are a challenge with little ones but still so much fun.
Babies, baskets, and spring...what's not to love?
The handle of Wesley's basket broke off so there was some basket switching. Luckily, my sister had an extra basket. After that he insisted on carrying his basket like this.
They had an Easter dog...less creepy then a bunny? Brynn was not a fan, and Wes wouldn't go near him.
Ky liked him though.
After that we went back to my mom and dyed some eggs. Brynn got to play with plastic eggs.
Wes was very focused on stamping and painting the eggs.
After that we raced off to Bret's parents for a family lunch. I didn't get many pictures but here are a couple. The cousins had a good time playing.
We did a little shoe shopping (Brynn was out growing her shoes), and then we went back to my mom's for Easter dinner. After dinner we made the traditional Easter basket cupcakes.
The kids enjoyed them.
After that Ky took Wes on a little egg hunt she made for him. They were so cute and funny. (My phone camera doesn't have the same quality as my DSLR).
A crazy busy and amazingly fun day.
