A Day in May

After breakfast Wes enjoys sometime playing in his highchair.

This is lunch. Wes was very sad because I wasn't feeding him fast enough. He had bananas for the first time and really liked them.

Wesley is a big fan of that dog. I love that he puts the dog beside him like that.

Dinner is a happy time because Daddy's home.

Wait? What's that?...two little teeth popping up!

Laundry, Standing, and Apple

Wes was such a big helper while I switched the clothes from the washer to the dryer.

Wes can stand supporting himself now, but I have to stay close because he falls a lot.

I let him chew on the apple piece, and I was surprised he liked it. He didn't like apple sauce made from a red delicious apple, but he really liked the green apple. He would scrap it with his two bottom teeth.

Three of a Kind

I have two neighbor friends and the both have babies about Wesley's age. Carter on the right is three weeks younger, and Paxton in the middle is three weeks younger.

Samples

My friend is throwing a food storage party for me, but she hadn't tried the food yet. So she came up to visit and sample the food. Her kids are so cute. I just love them. Sweet Sam is six months older than Wes, and they're already friends.Sam took a little nap at my house while his mom ran some errands. So cute.

Scarfs are Funny

He was laughing harder before I got the camera out (isn't that usually the story).

Our House May 24th

Wes and I went to the house to pick out how we wanted out closets organized. The men building our house are so nice and good to work with. I bought them doughnuts and didn't eat one myself (that's big for me)

The master bath shower is almost done.

Proclaiming

Wes will stand up erect on my lap and put his arms out and proclaim baby talk with vigor. I often call him my little King Benjamin.

Here he is giving a proclamation in the tub, but he gets a little distracted by toys.

Nap

Wes falls asleep in the front pack most of the time, and stays there for his naps.

Does Anyone Know What Flowers These Are?

I pass by these pretty flowers on my walks, and I really like them, but I don't know what they are.

Our House May 21st

It looks like they have started from prep for the stone.

Tractor Sees a Tractor

There is a tractor that drives down the road by my apartment all the time, and I was finally able to capture it on camera (just barely). Small towns are so great!

Nice Spring Day

Wes and I had such a nice day. We went for a walk, and then spent some time enjoying the weather.

Wes was in such a funny mood as we were getting ready for bed.

Feet Work Good

Wes sometimes likes to use he's feet as well as his hands to play.

I had Wes try this hat I made for him on, and he made the cutest faces.

Mischief

Wesley's closet doors have huge mirrors on them, and I usually get ready in front of them while Wesley plays on the floor. I noticed in the mirror that he had rolled over to and scooted under his swing and was grabbing the cord. I put him in the swing, and I noticed in the mirror that he was using the ring to hit the animals on his mobiles. When I looked right at him he would stop. When I would look away and watch him through the mirror he would start again.

The Magic Mobile

I am so grateful for this mobile. It has really helped us with the nights. Wes has not been the best sleeper, and not always been a fan of being put down even if he was already asleep. He also would wake up at the slightest noise.

Nights are much better now. I no longer fear putting him down at night or at naps now because he will stay asleep or go right back to sleep.

Wes is a big fan of the mobile.
He's has become a better sleeper over the last couple on months, but right after Mother's day he took sleeping to a new level. That was the best gift I could have received. Thanks, Wes.

Strings and Straps are Fun

Wes loves to play with and chew on strings, straps, and ribbons. I think he maybe likes them more than toys.

Wesley's First Tooth (for real this time)

So back around when Wes was 4 months old. I thought we was getting a tooth, but then it turned out just to be a little cyst.

Well, the other day Wes was chewing on my finger and I felt something sharp. Sure enough it's a little tooth.
