The Long Weekend

The day after Thanksgiving we went to spend some quality time with Punka and Grandma Les.  My kids started playing a game where they hugged my dad and said, "No, my Punka," over and over again.  It was so cute to watch them laugh and play.

Coloring construction vehicles.

That evening my mom watched the kids while Bret and I made a Costco run.  The kids got to make ornaments.  I left my camera there and my mom took lots of pictures of the fun.

Then they watched the Elf on the Shelf.

Ky was impressed at Wesley's Barbie playing skills.  He's had lots of practice playing with the girls next door.
Then we headed back home so Bret could go to work the next morning (being on call and working some Saturdays is the trade off for his schedule being awesome most of the time).

InstaNovember

Here are my Instagram pictures from November.
Brynn and Wes love to throw sticks in the river and watch them come out on the other side.  Pooh sticks is a game that just come naturally to all kids.

 Crunchy fall leaves.

Butternut squash apple soup made from squash from my garden.  It was a rare and awesome cooking moment for me.

I had been thinking about painting my door all summer, and I finally did it the last day before it turned cold.  It really added a lot of impact for under $20.

Poor Wes had the stomach flu.  So sad.

Thanksgiving 2013

Little Baby Abby was born a couple of weeks early.  She was born November 27th shortly after midnight.  Mom and baby were released from the hospital Thanksgiving morning, and they were able to make it to dinner that night.  My sister is a trouper.  Isn't she a pretty little thing?
The sisters.
Brynn was excited to hold the baby.  Wes didn't want to hold her, but he wanted to be close to her.

Then Wes wanted Kylie to hold him like a baby.

Naunnie is great.

Fun table mat for the kids.  Wes loves activities like this.

Then someone broke out the turkey hat.

The food was delicious, and we had a fun time hanging out together.  The older I get the more grateful for family I am.

Playing in the Leaves

It is a small pile of leaves, but Wes couldn't help diving in them.

Leaves are so fun on a warm autumn afternoon.

Then of course this cute kid helped to clean them back up.  I love my little helper.
