Everyday We Just Shovel'n Shovel'n
Nice big snow storms bring in the good air. The kids love playing outside while we shovel. We waited too long to get Brynn snow boots and could only find ones that were too big. She did pretty well getting around considering.
Breaking icicles off the truck was one of Wesley's favorite winter activities.
I dug them out a little snow fort.
Wintry house
We had to dig the mailbox out so we could get mail.
This much snow makes me laugh. We were happy to have a beautiful winter day to enjoy.

Indoor Projects
Here's a few of the things we did while we were trapped inside.
He's on the "phone."
Breaking the coated cotton balls.
Snow in the Living Room
We were having a stir crazy morning. The kids were destroying the house.
The shelf Wes is laying on and the two blow it's contents were thrown on the floor. Sidenote: I have reorganized the dresses and skirts since the picture was taken, and I think it looks much better.
They were so happy, and I was so frustrated.
The air was terrible outside, but we needed to do something. I had seen a blog post where the mom brought snow inside and let her kids paint it with food coloring and water in spray bottles. My kids are too little for to be trusted with dye in the house, but the first part seemed pretty good. That day seemed to be the perfect day to try it out.
We had lots of awesome powder that had fallen down, but then a day or two before we had freezing rain. It was the coolest snow I have ever been in. The first couple of inches were frozen but easy to break and underneath was all the awesome powder. It was the coolest combo. I was so sad the air was so toxic because it would have been so cool for the kids.
Bringing the snow in was a big hit. It was so still fluffy, cold, and fun.
I don't remember why she is crying here, but that is quite the sad face.
After they were done playing we left the snow inside all day to watch it melt (like Peter's snowball in A Snowy Day).
Wes liked playing with the slush after his nap.
Who knew that just a little snow could turn around the mood of our home.
