New Year's Eve

We had a simple day for New Year's.  But of course we had to do some thing so we had hot chocolate with whip cream and sprinkles.

The snow was so cool.  It almost looked fake.  It was loose glittery pieces.  So beautiful and fun.

I love my husband and how funny he is.

Lots of kisses before bed.
Brynn's kissing involves opening your mouth really wide, putting it on you and saying, "Ah Ba."

Last year I had the stomach flu and didn't even try.  I'll though I was up vomiting as the fireworks flew as the clock struck midnight.  This year I felt better, and last year set the bar low.

This year Bret and I decided to try and stay up until midnight.  I checked the clock with about 10 minutes left, and then the next thing I knew was awakened by the sound of fireworks.  Oops.  Luckily the bar was set low.

Christmas at Naunnie's

We went to Naunnie's after spending some time with Bret's parents in the morning.  The kids got to enjoy their final present opening.

Bret and I went out on a second date while my mom watched the kids.  I left my camera there, and my mom took a bunch of pictures.

We went to a little local Italian restaurant.  It had such a nice atmosphere, and the food was amazing.
After that we went to Les Mis.  It was so fun to have two dates in a row.  It was really really really amazing.

That evening before we headed home we did a little celebration for my niece's birthday.

The kids were all jammied and ready for the drive home, but Brynn needed to hug the snowman before we left.

So we headed home after celebrating Christmas three times over, our anniversary two times over, and a birthday.  It was a wonderful weekend.

Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa

After Grandma and Punka's we headed to Bret's parents' home.  The kids were really getting the hang of opening gifts by that point.
They are such sweet and lovely children.
We spent the night there and again had a very enjoyable time.

Christmas with Punka and Grandma Les

The 28th of December we headed to SLC to spend time with extended family.
First stop - Punka's!

After visiting for a while, Bret and I left the kids with my dad and step-mom while we went to the Hobbit.  Before that we had only been to three movies since Wes was born.  We had a bit of time before the movie started so we did a little shopping.  It was such a nice time for Bret and I, and they kids had a wonderful time with their grandparents.

6th Anniversary

The 27th was our 6th anniversary.  Bret worked for most of the day, but we weren't too concerned because the day after Bret didn't work, we were going to have a date.  We don't get many of those so I was really excited.
We snapped a quick picture and traded gifts on the actual day.

Now time for the anniversary line up.

I am the luckiest lady to have this amazing man!

A Little Post Christmas

It snowed and snowed after Christmas.  It is exciting not only because it's pretty, but we really needed it.  We are a dessert after all.

So the day after Christmas was kind of a pain.  I thought it would be such a smooth day with the kids playing over their new toys.  Nope.  They spent the day fighting over the new toys.  Don't worry we still had some good moments.
Finger paints are great.

How to climb into a basket:

I invented this amazing snowman snack.  I know.  I know.  I am a true creative genius.

Brynn loves climbing in my stroller I got as a kid.  The fabric is starting to get a little warn, but it is in good shape for how old and how loved it's been.

Christmas Sledding

It was perfect Christmas weather.  Sunny and clear with fresh fallen snow.  So it was exciting when our neighbor friends invited us to go sledding.

The babies were so cute together.

Have I mentioned how obsessed I am with these faces?

Bret took Brynn for a trip down the hill.

Brynn was not a big fan.

Then I took Wes down.  He had already been down with Bret, and he loved it every time.

Bret and Wes went down over and over again.  I was amazed at the big hills they were going down.
He was so big walking up the hills.

Brynn explored a little, but she was a grouchy pants for most of the time.

Sledding and sliding.

I really love that I have one child with such deep blue eyes and the other with such pretty brown.

After they played on the playground a bit it was back to the big hills.

Luckily we got ready to go right before a dense fog set in.  The temperature plummeted.  The picture above was taken by the car when we first got there and the picture below was taken by the car when we left.

The drive home was foggy, but not too scary.  Look how pretty the temple is.
