Brynn's 1st Tooth

Finally after 9 1/2 months.

She also figured out how to pick her nose.

9 months

Height: 25th percentile (at 2 months she was 50th)
Weigth: 3rd percentile (at 2 months she was 75th)
She's been out as long as she was in!  She started big for her age and is now small.  The pediatrician was a little concerned but her hemoglobin and development are fine, combined with the fact that Wes is usually between 3rd and 5th percentile for wait as well lessens his concern.

Sitting Up

Brynn started sitting up for brief moments.  She'll only do it on the rare occasion that she's not diving forward to get anything she sees.

This is the Face of a Boy Who Just Went Pee Pee in the Potty for the 1st Time!

We've had these stickers hanging up for a while now, and Wes talks about how he'll get it when he goes pee pee in the potty.  We read a potty book, and he'll sit on the potty every so often but past that not much has happened.  I've tried not to push it.  Earlier today I had the thought that it is nice to not have to deal with taking him to the bathroom when we go placed and I should just enjoy the convince of diapers.  Good ol' irony strikes again, but I am actually happy about it.  We'll see how it goes from here.
I am so proud of you, Wes!

High Roller

Brynn just rolled over for the 1st time!  I had her tummy in her crib with her mobile going above her.  It took her a few minutes, but she rolled over to look at it.
Milestones are so fun!

Big Boy Bed

Wes has been able to climb out of his crib for while now. He is really fast and good at it, but still it was time for a toddler bed.
Here is is at nap time the day before he got the toddler bed.
My friend who brought us the bed also brought this doll for my niece. It turned out to be helpful because it got really excited for his bed. He played with the doll on both her bed and his bed.
Wes did a good job at nap time. I only had to go in once to put him back in bed. That night I checked on him, and found him like this. I think he got out to play with he truck, ended up falling asleep. I put him back in bed, and I haven't found him out of it since then.
The first couple of night he would turn upside down, but now he sleeps right side up.
I was worried with how the transition would be, and really it hasn't been too bad. I have to put him back in bed every once in awhile, but nothing to major.

Yesterday he was so cute. I could here him fussing for a few minutes so I went in. He was sitting on his bed pointing to his nose saying, "blow nose." I wiped it, and gave him a burp cloth in case he needed to wipe it again. Bret was off work, and Wes was worried that he would leave while he napped. He said with a concerned look on his face, "Daddy, brmm brmmm?" I told him Daddy wasn't going to go anywhere while he slept and would be home after Wes woke up. Then Wes went to sleep without any trouble.

Wesley's First Tooth (for real this time)

So back around when Wes was 4 months old. I thought we was getting a tooth, but then it turned out just to be a little cyst.
Well, the other day Wes was chewing on my finger and I felt something sharp. Sure enough it's a little tooth.
Here's the best picture we could get.

Wesley's First Easter

Bret and I decided to take a trip to spend the long weekend with our families. We spent half of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday there, and I thought that there would be so much time to see everyone. Unfortunately, I was wrong...time just flew by.
Friday I went to the dentist down there because I haven't found one up here yet. I was sure I had tons of cavities, especially from throwing up so much while I was pregnant. Sometimes I LOVE being wrong... No cavities!
We celebrated my grandma's 92nd birthday on Saturday, and it was good to see the my Dad's side of the family. I don't know why I always forget to take pictures when I am at my Dad's and in-laws. But I did get this cute picture of Wesley with his Punka. (I think my Dad has such pretty eye.)

Wes took a little nappy nap with his aunt Lissy.

We had fun dying eggs at Naunnie's house. (I have some cute pictures of Wes with the eggs I need to get from my phone.)

The Easter Bunny came and brought Wesley a basket full of toys and baby food. The Easter Bunny thinks she is so funny because she made the toy bunny hold the carrots.

Wes was super cute supper cute with his basket.Bret and I got new phones the day before, and Wes got a phone of his own.

We had Easter brunch with my mom, and I thought the table looked so pretty.
The Bunny brought Wesley baby food because Wes got to try rice cereal for the first time at Easter brunch. I was surprised at how much he loved eating.

We had dinner with Bret's side of the family. It was a really nice weekend. I am so grateful my family. I am also very grateful for the reason we celebrate Easter. I am grateful that Christ atoned for our sins, and died that we might live. I know the Jesus was resurrected and the He Lives. He blesses me so abundantly and because of him I have so much joy in this life and the life to come.

Roll'n in the Excitement

It all began with Wes sleeping well last night, so I was able to get some good rest.
Then Wesley rolled over for the first time during tummy time!
I decided to try on my pre-pregnancy jeans just to try, and I was able to wear them. I still an not back to my pre-pregnancy size, but being able to wear the jeans made me pretty happy!
Wes accidentally poked himself in the eye while I was holding him, and needed some comforting. His hurt cry is so sad.
A little later we went to Kohl's to look for a gift for Bret's birthday. Wes helped me pick out the blue shirt before he fell asleep while looking for a tie to go with it. I went around the store to see if there was anything else Bret might like and I discovered a killer sale. I ended up saving more than double what I spent, and I got some very nice clothes for Bret.

When we got home we were happy to find that Bret got off work early. Wes was in a super cute mood. He had had a good nap while I shopped, plus he was happy to see his daddy.
We also discovered that he has a tiny little tooth starting to poke through his mouth. (I tried to take a picture, but it is on the bottom center and Wes just kept trying to lick my fingers when I pulled his lip down.)

What a day!

(I just noticed that my last two blogs are about happy days. I didn't make a blog for the two days in between that were a little ruff because my little guy was not doing so well at night. At least I was able to go on walks those days. Anyway, my point is that not everything is perfect, but it's more fun to write about the good time.)
