Brynn's 2-Year-Old Pictures

I couple of days after Brynn's birthday it warmed up so we went to the park to take more pictures.  We had fun but between Brynn finding (again!) and smearing lotion in her hair and not wanting to sit still it didn't turn out quite as I envisioned.  Still we had lots of fun.
I love all the faces she makes.

Of course I had to get some pictures of Brynn's cute brother.

Brynn's 2nd Birthday

Brynn was excited for her scooter.

Uncle Alex and Aunt Rachael sent a Cabbage Patch Kid for Brynn's birthday.  She was so excited, and it was fun that Alex got to watch her open it over Skype.  I was listing possible names and Brynn was just repeating them (she was in a particularly mimic-y phase), when I said, "Penelope." Brynn held the doll out and proclaimed, "This is Penelope."  And that was that.

I got Brynn all ready to try for some 2-year-old picture.  While I went to get the camera and Brynn did this to her Penelope.  Why didn't I put the lotion higher?

She has such a cute face!

We let the kids play at the play place of a fast food restaurant.  Which was a big hit with the kids.

Brynn told me she wanted cupcakes that she could decorate herself.  I thought that sounded fun for the kids, and I was relieved not to have to make 3rd cake in less then 2 weeks.
She was curious and nervous about the candles.
Yummy cakes and ice cream.

Balloons are a favorite in my house (at long as they are not popping).

Brynn loves her baby.  I love the way she says, "Penelope" in her sweet two-year-old voice.

I can't believe how big she is growing, but I also am shocked I have only had her for two years.  She is such a sweet baby girl.

In between birthdays

We had some good times in between all the birthday parties.
She walks pretty well in my wedge sandals.
I lover her face.

Wes was excited about the snow!

Wes opening his present from Uncle Alex while Skype-ing with him.   I don't like having my brother in a war zone, but seeing him helps.

We have fun building train tracks and whatnot together.  Look how proud he is.
The purple bubble the kids got are really cool, but they are dangerously stain-y.  Brynn played with them too, but my camera wasn't out at that point.

I am so happy that my kids love books.  Story time is a daily treat for us all.
Bret has a habit of making faces for the camera.
I am not sure which neighbor taught their kids to put their socks in their shoes, but I am very grateful that that habit was passed on to my kids.

The train tracks the kids got for birthdays has been so fun.

I love the way my kids stick out their tongues when they are focusing, and sometimes even when they aren't.
Life with these kids is crazy and fun!

This is the view I get while waiting for Wes to get out of preschool.
