Zion Trip Day 1 - Entering the Zion National Park

We drove right to Zion National Park to get a few hours of exploring before bedtime.  It is a beautiful place.

The kids got out and played for a little bit.

We had a lovely time and then headed back to the hotel.  Unfortunately it to over an hour to get the lock off our credit card.  Apparently you have to inform you credit union you are traveling before hand even if you are staying in the state.

Zion Trip Day 1 - Cove Fort

Monday night Bret cam home from work and said he had a week off work.  So we decided to go on we'd leave the next day.  We packed and left Tuesday.  We spent Tuesday night in SLC, and my Mom watched the kids while Bret and I went on a date.  We got up early on Wednesday morning to leave and the real vacation began.

We stopped to let the kids have a break at Cove Fort.  It was fun to place to take a break from driving.

This is called a Mormon coach.  It turns into a bed for sleeping.  It's basically the 1st futon.

This machine is called a weasel.  After a certain amount of spins it makes a popping noise to so the pioneers could have exact measurements of yarn.  This is where the song Pop Goes the Weasel comes from.

After a tour and some lunch we headed back to the car to finish our drive.

Poor Wes got hit in the head with a block within 5 minutes at the daycare at the gym.  Poor guy.  He sure was a trooper getting his 3 stitches.

I made chicken noodle soup with heart shaped carrots.  I learned shortly after that I have a carrot intolerance.  So so sad since most of my favorite foods have carrots in them.

It is always exciting to see the tips of tulips starting to pop out.

February ends with the cutest faces.

Kylie's Frozen Party

I helped my mom and sister put together a frozen party for my niece.  My kids were very happy about this since they are OBSESSED with the movie.  They sing the songs surprisingly well for being 2 and 4 years old.

Baby Abby was happy to sleep through most of the prep and party.

I was way excited to do a Frozen inspired photo booth props..
