Food Fun

He's a post I started a LONG time ago but never published.  To say my sweet Wes is a picky eater is an understatement.  We has him working with an occupational therapist and went to a food class when he was 2.  Making food fun helps with his food anxieties...helps not solves, but we'll take what we can get.

He made a car.

Painting with ranch dyed blue and lettuce for a paint brush.

The car he earned for trying new food.
Dinosaur eating a tree.

Brynn has no problems with food.  She'll eat everything even things that aren't food.

Edible peanut butter play dough.

Watermelon and cookie cutters.

A Friendly Hike

We love hiking with our neighbor friends.  It's only our second time, but it's the beginning of a tradition.

Touch a Truck 2014

They moved Touch a Truck 2013 from October to September, and I didn't realize it until it was too late.  So I made sure to be on top of it for 2014, but I forgot my good camera.  Oh well, the kids still had an amazing time!

When we were in the bucket truck I pointed out how small everything looked.  I told them, "Look, Naunnie looks like a Barbie."  Wes disagreed with me because Barbies don't move by themselves.

New Bed

Wes got a new loft bed.  I was so excited.  I had seen a loft bed at Pottery Barn that I loved.  I had been looking around for similar beds at price I could swallow.  I was so happy when I found the same bed 72% off  at DownEast.
There were a few crazy nights with mattresses on the floor, and lots of excitement.

Brynn got to move out of the crib which was a good thing since she had been ready for months.

Insta August

I was so sad when I couldn't find a chocolate flower this spring, but my beautiful neighbor with the same nerdy obsession found a nusery that carried them.  I am so excited not that it is blooming!  Thanks for the gift, Amy!

"E F G, I love you.  E F G, I love you."  What a reader. :)

Be sure that your 2 year old is tall enough to ride rides before you tell her she can.  Otherwise you'll spend too much money for your kids to fish in a fishing pond.  I least they loved their prizes.  #countyfairlove
Wes was a fan of the rides.

Behold her power.

Crane time at the children's museum.

Summertime when the live'n is crazy.

I told Brynn to make her best pirate face.

I caller her Audrey II.  She's as tall as I am.

Wesley's 1st time vacuuming.  He impressed me.

Summer isn't over yet.

I'm really recovering well from a little surgery last week, but I still can't crouch down to sweep crumbs/dirt int to the dust pan.  Brynn found the pile and decided to help.  I really love being a mom.

Wes went to his 1st play today.  We had so much fun at the Wizard of Oz!
