An Warm Autumn Day in the Canyon

We walked to the nature center.

Then we ended up walking to 1st damn.  Bret ran back to the car because we didn't thing the kids could handle the hike back.

It was a perfectly lovely day.

We got ready and took pictures.  All the things you need to do for the 1st day of preschool.  Except, ooops.  I was a day early. Ooops.  Just kidding, girls.

In the Hall of the Mountain King Dance Party

Turns out In the Hall of the Mountain King in all it's versions make an amazing dance party song.

Dub-step version of In the Hall of the Mountain King lead to dub-step Harry Potter.  Brynn decided she wanted to be Voldemort for Halloween.  I was so excited about how funny that would be.  Wes changed her mind because he wanted them to go as a prince and princess.  Turns out Cinderella is more appealing to a three year old girl than an evil wizard.

He has his 1st loose tooth, and he just learned to peel carrots.  Love being his mom.  #professorwesley

I borrowed my neighbor's chickens so they could eat the bugs destroying my yard.  Instead they just stare at me creepily through the window.  Also, their cat sneaks in my house.  I'm glad the humans of the family aren't as weird.

One final trip to Pink's for snow cones.  The kids both ordered ones called Sunset.  They were very excited the real sunset looked just like their snow cones!  #goodbyesummer

The other day Brynn decorated her puzzle piece for preschool.  Pink, neon, and glitter.

Great way to start my Saturday!!!

Brynn has taken our little neighbor under wing and on to her bike.  Sweet little friends.

The kids made their own little parade.

Homecoming parade for our local high school.  We had a blast!

I went to yell at her to put on a helmet and get out of the road.  Then I realized she taught herself to ride without training wheels!!!

I still made her get out of the road and put on a helmet.

She told me Wes taught her.  He told her to go fast and stay fast.  She would repeat to herselft, "Go fast.  Stay fast."

I snapped a quick shot before he got on the bus just in case his hair didn't make it to school picture time.  He likes to crunch out the gel.

 

Sometime temper tantrums happen in the neighbors front yard.

October is in a week.  So naturally we spent the day at the pool.
