Santa selfie! #ilovemydad

She asked Santa for a bell from his sleigh.  She was so happy, but we accidentally left it behind.  She's been talking about how she lost it like the boy in the Polar Express.  I better make sure it's wrapped up under the tree on Christmas morning.

He asked Santa for a toy train.  He made sure to explain not a real one because he doesn't know how to drive a real train.

Our elf is a bit of a slacker.  Sunday and Monday he didn't move until mid morning when the kids weren't looking.  This morning he moved before it was light so they luckily didn't notice.  The kid loved that he decided to ride "the polar express."  The  see the magic and beauty in things, no need for perfection.

My ginger bread cookies actually taste good!  #minichristmasmiracle #momselfiesarethenewpink

Perfect solution to keep me from eating too many cookies.  Invite some neighbor kids over for an impromptu gingerbread man decorating party.

My big helper.

My favorite part of Wesley's treats for preschool.

They're watching Harry Potter for the first time.  Merry Christmas to me!

Love those chocolate-y eyes.

Wes earlier today: Mom, do you know who would be the nicest person if Jesus wasn't?
Me: Who?
Wes: Santa

Tonight, I found him sleeping next to the picture of Christ he got from Primary on Sunday.  Love this little, tender hearted kid.

Simply having a wonderful Christmas Eve!
