Why do I love living in Utah?

We decided to take a trip up the canyon one afternoon.  It was so beautiful and and fun.

I love living so close to such beauty.  I really love Utah.

Taking a Stand

So a couple of weeks back Brynn started standing on her own, but unlike most children she doesn't just let go of furniture she slowly rises from the ground.  She is so cute and funny.

Red Playdough

We made the play dough you cook for the first time.  I really like it.  I may never go back.

We made it red on Wesley request (it takes a ton of dye to get past pink).

Brynn enjoyed play dough for a bit but really wanted to eat it.  It's safe to eat, but has a ton of salt so I discouraged it.

I put sprinkles it it for an extra sensory experience.  I told him he could only eat the sprinkles the first day because the play dough was still pretty clean.

He plays with it a ton lately.  I make him sit in his booster chair though because it is just too messy otherwise.

I made baby play dough out of baby food and mixed grain baby cereal.  Came up with that one all by myself.

Homemade Cupcake

We decided to make cupcakes on day, but we were out of cake mix, and it was Sunday.  So I whipped out my World Wide Ward Cookbook and made them from scratch.

Wes and I enjoyed baking together, and Wes really enjoyed eating the finished product.

I had wanted to try out the thing where you put printed letters under the parchment paper to trace with chocolate, but my printer wasn't working.  So I had to free hand it.  Not as pretty, but still super fun.  These were for one of my favorite neighbor friends who is having a baby.

A needed baking success.  I have had some real baking failures lately so it was needed.

Picinic

We enjoyed a picnic dinner in the park one pleasant September evening.

Doll

I have been meaning to get a picture of Brynn with Baby Sister (the doll Wes got when Brynn was born) for a while because I think they look alike.  Very humorous.  But the morning I finally went out to take the pictures the lighting was terrible and Byrnn wouldn't sit still.

Outside

September was filled with perfect weather.  I am sure I have mentioned my love of September, but I just can't say it enough.  I love it!  So we sent time enjoying it.

It is rather difficult to get a picture of these two little mudeaters.

Have I mentioned how easy sidewalkchalk paint it.  Equal parts baking soda and water, then add food coloring.  

Really, Wes, really.

Wes got to enjoy chewing gum in the backyard - a rare treat.
