A Handy Man

A repair man came to fix our sliding door. I wish I would have taken a picture to show you. It was in bad shape. It was pulling away from the wall so badly that there were gaps that bugs could get through. I think the only reason we didn't have a bug problem is the cats would eat them when they came in.
Luckily, our house is under warranty. It took a while to get fixed because the window company and the installers kept coming out and saying it was the others problem. Thankfully it was figured out and fix.
Wes was a big helper with his hammer. I think I might be turning into a crazy cat lady, but this picture makes me laugh so much. How can I not share it?
Getting ready for bed after a hard day of work. So cozy and cuddly!

First Steps

Wesley took his first steps today! He was standing up holding to a chair and dancing. Then he got funny mischievous smile on his face and took a couple of steps toward me and fell into my arms. He took a few more steps, but then got so excited he would just crawl to me as fast as he could.

When Bret got home Wes took a few steps for him, but I wasn't able to get it on camera. But here is a dancing video.

My Big Helper

Naps

Wesley has had a hard time with sleeping. He's pretty good at sleeping through the night (thank goodness), but naps have been a challenge off and on. For half of a week last week we because a dream napper. I could put him down in bed at nap time, and he would go to sleep twice a day. Oh, those for days were like a dream....and then it ended.

Today he fell asleep during lunch. I was able to pick him up, but as soon as I put him down he started screaming. I tried leaving him for a few minutes, but it didn't work. He fell asleep in my arms a couple of times, but he would wake up every time I tried to put him down. Oh, and he was grumpy because he was so tired...Blah! At least he is super cute.
Any advice on napping?

Night out

Starting last week Bret now works three days a week that are at least 11 hours long. So the last two Tuesdays he is home. He isn't working at many hours which equals less pay, but I love having him home four days a week.
We this week we went to my favorite restaurant, Cafe Sabor. We had a 50% coupon and a survey to complete. It was a perfect September evening, and we enjoyed dinner out on the patio. Really it was an all around delightful evening.
Wes has a new fun game I like to call "Thank you." It involves us passing an item back and forth and saying, "Thank you" when receive it. I don't think you can hear on the video, but the way Wes says thank you in a half whisper is so cute.

Books and Music

Wesley does not sit still very much, but if he is sitting still it's probably because of a book. He loves books, especially this one with with wheels that turn.

Wes finally figured out to make music with his xylophone. I was surprised it took him this long to figure it out since he enjoys hitting objects with other objects.
Still so fun to watch him play and learn. What a fun time.
